Hyden Yoo · Press

Hyden Yoo started with the idea of changing how men dressed in the workplace. With no formal fashion experience, Hyden packed his bags and moved to New York to immerse himself in all things fashion. He left behind a corporate job and found new internships and freelance positions with fashion's most prestigious companies. In the meantime, through active research and the help of friends, he managed to design and produce a small collection of dress shirts. His value proposition was to add value to a man's wardrobe by cutting the shirts shorter than other brands. This gave his customers the option to wear their shirts to work or untuck their shirts and wear casually with a pair of jeans. After a few brief stints at various fashion companies, Hyden launched a complete menswear collection in the fall of 2008.

His philosophy was to utilize subtle details and create a modern silhouette to update the classic tailored sportswear pieces. Guided by this philosophy, his goal was to style and design pieces that bridged the gap between Wall Street bankers and Brooklyn hypsters by incorporating concepts from both worlds. Each piece has detailed construction, and uses high quality fabrics with a great hand feel. In spring 2010, Hyden Yoo officially introduced his women's collection to the market. His women's aesthetic is one of effortless style and street chic. It has already been featured in Elle, W, and WWD to name a few. The women who wear his pieces make a perfect counterpart for the Hyden Yoo man.
